What Swing-Ball Means To Me
by Steve Battaglia
There are certain things we think of when we think about our childhood. Certain memories hit your senses like you are reliving them at that moment. When your mom led you down to the ice cream truck, after you sat with sweet anticipation after hearing it from miles away. Or how about when you and your friends invented a game that you would eventually spread to the world?
Swing-ball is our nostalgia. The fond memories of our teenage years are dotted with the intense and spirited game we now share with you. Swing-ball has become our past time as baseball is to our nation. We remember it as those long afternoons of feeling the wind crash over your face as your make the final point to win the game for your team. The flame that grew into the wildfire we now call Swing-ball started as a group of childhood friends coming together to test their soccer skills and bond as young men.
As the sport has now come to the public, we can not be happier but to share our passion and memories with you. Hopefully, swing-ball can mean to you what it has meant to us.
This is a weekly section we have started today, to share current thoughts, ideas, and anything else we want to share with you. We have started the beginning of this section with a story of the beginning. Every Tuesday, we will have a Swing-Ball Tuesday article , so check back weekly!
